The Hub, as the name implies, is the center of a collection of virtual and physical spaces to explore “maker” technologies. Through this effort Learning & Applied Innovation hopes the Hub will help connect a variety of spaces on campus and encourage the Colgate community to come together to explore these technologies.

The Hub is a collection of resources that support the Colgate community in the exploration of “maker” technologies that can enhance teaching, learning, and research. The Learning & Applied Innovation group strives to foster an environment of collaboration, experimentation, creativity, and innovation among students, faculty, and staff.

Through these resources Learning & Applied Innovation hopes to encourage the:

• experimentation with and evaluation of “maker” technologies that have potential for meaningful application in a liberal arts context.
• collaboration among students, faculty, and staff around “maker” technologies to support teaching, learning, and research.
• sharing of knowledge within the Colgate community.
• pursuit of learning through making.

The Hub is located in Case Library, fifth floor, 555E. Next to the DLMC.
