Spaces

The Hub is designed to provide students, faculty, and staff with virtual and physical spaces to explore “maker” technologies. Learning & Applied Innovation hopes the Hub will help connect a variety of spaces on campus and encourage the Colgate community to collaborate, experiment, create, and innovate with these technologies.

THE HUB

Located in 555E of the Case Library & Geyer Center for Information Technology (Case-Geyer), the Hub offers an array of 3D scanners and printers that include Flashforge Creator Pro, Ender 3, and Form 2. In addition, the space includes a whiteboard wall, editing station, and a variety of hand-tools (e.g., Dremel rotary tools). Click here for more information and to access the Hub.

THE DLMC

Colgate University students, faculty, and staff have free, open access to Flashforge Creator Pro 3D Printers. This equipment is located in the Digital Learning and Media Center (DLMC) on the fifth floor of the Case-Geyer.

A computer with the required software and a variety of informational links is available in the DLMC and located directly adjacent to the 3D printers. No login is required to access the software or links on the computer for 3D printing. If the computer is not logged in, simply restart the computer and wait for it to login automatically.
